Your First Visit
Your first visit to Dr. Gorkowitz's office is a complimentary
consultation during which you will meet the doctor and the members of
our highly trained staff, we will talk about any concerns you have and
make our recommendation for treatment. Insurance information will be
taken so that it may be submitted to your insurance company. You will
learn about the orthodontic process, as well as have the opportunity to
see our office. The doctor will thoroughly examine your teeth, the
surrounding tissues, your jaw joints, facial profile and your smile
line. Your orthodontic problems will be explained, and treatment time
and costs will be discussed. Any questions you have will be answered
and a follow-up appointment will be made.
Payment Options
Our office works with you in every way to make orthodontic treatment
easy for everyone. We offer many payment plans that include discounts
for second children in treatment and discounts for payment in full.
Our office manager works with the family to make the most feasible
payment plan.
Insurance
If you have orthodontic insurance we will take care of all the
necessary paperwork for you. We will determine your eligibility and
the amount of coverage.
Please be aware of the following insurance facts:
- Orthodontic insurance is a separate rider to dental insurance.
Having dental insurance does not automatically mean that you have
orthodontic insurance
- Orthodontic coverage is usually different from your dental
insurance. Most orthodontic insurances is 50% of the total fee up to a
lifetime maximum. There are a few exceptions.
- Orthodontic insurance is usually not paid in one lump sum, but is paid over the length of the treatment.
- If you change your job, your orthodontic insurance payments may
stop (unless your new job has orthodontic benefits). You would be
responsible for the balance of the fee due.
